I am on my fourth day of the VIDYA juice cleanse. This has been the best day, so far. Juice 1 [turmeric punch] is my least favorite. And juice 6 (potassium broth) is my favorite. I warm it up on the stove and pretend like it’s delicious, hot winter soup!
Day one, I stayed home and edited all day. I was pretty cranky with the hunger pangs. Day two, I went to Dallas for a shoot. That was a very long day & a bit too much for a cleanse day, but you gotta do what you gotta do, eh?! Day three, I stayed home with Lennon, and played with him + edited. I took a hot bath & enjoyed a colonic session (that was interesting! but awesome!) I was pretty low in energy yesterday & went to bed very early. Today, I have a ton of energy. I’ve been a busy bee; did yoga this am, edited, shot a sweet maternity session, dug into my Braid ECourse, ran errands, and have a very exciting photo shoot this evening… I’ve definitely arrived to the BLISS!
I have been sleeping like a baby the past few weeks (starting when I cut out caffeine, gluten, dairy, + sugar). I have no bloating that I often experience by evening time. Mind you, I am very sensitive to + aware of my bodily sensations. Being a yogi, I am constantly assessing things in my body & trying to balance them out. Some people may be accustomed to many of these things (discomforts/sleepiness) & not notice the difference until after a cleanse when they introduce food + caffeine back into their diet.
